COLEMANS MILL ROAD TO BE DETOURED MARCH 7-11 IN CAROLINE
CSX railroad crossing repair will be underway 24 hrs. a day between Monday morning and Friday evening
FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Route 656 (Colemans Mill Road) in Caroline County will be closed to through traffic next week for repairs at the CSX railroad crossing.
CSX crews will close Colemans Mill Road at the railroad crossing around 7 a.m. on Monday, March 7. The road will remain closed until work is complete, which is anticipated to occur by the evening of Friday, March 11.
Motorists should follow the posted, recommended detour route:
- Route 207 (Rogers Clark Blvd)
- Route 684 (Dry Bridge Rd)
The detour route is 3.7 miles long, and will add an estimated 6 minutes of travel time.
Colemans Mill Road carries an average of 440 vehicles a day, according to a Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) traffic count.
