ROUTE 202 (HAMPTON HALL ROAD) NOW OPEN IN NORTHUMBERLAND
Emergency repair complete to restore road after damage from flooding in June

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Route 202 (Hampton Hall Road) in Northumberland County has reopened to through traffic following an emergency repair.

Hampton Hall Road was closed east of Route 619 (Deer Run Road) on June 11 after heavy rain and flooding washed out a portion of the road.

Crews restored the road's subgrade, installed new drainage pipes, protected the slope with new stone, and repaved the road.

Around 2,800 vehicles a day travel on Hampton Hall Road, according to a Virginia Department of Transportation traffic count.
