EXPECT BRIEF DELAYS ON NORRIS BRIDGE NEXT WEEK
Drivers should expect alternating single lane closures on the bridge April 26 – 30 for daytime maintenance activities

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – On Monday, April 26, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will begin a week of routine bridge maintenance activities on the Robert O. Norris Bridge at White Stone.

Drivers crossing the Route 3 bridge over the Rappahannock River between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. will encounter the following delays on the bridge each day, Monday through Friday:

Monday – Wednesday, alternating single lane closure. One-way traffic on the bridge will be maintained using an automated flagging assistance device.

Thursday – Friday, mobile lane closures on the bridge. Expect brief delays at various locations on the bridge. Expect brief traffic stops in the work zone.

The Robert O. Norris bridge crosses the Rappahannock River between Lancaster and Middlesex counties.

Work is expected to be complete by Friday, April 30.
