CRASH BLOCKING PENOLA ROAD AT RAILROAD CROSSING IN CAROLINE COUNTY
Drivers should seek an alternate route around the closure

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – A crash involving a CSX freight train and a tractor trailer is blocking Route 601 (Penola Road) in both directions at the railroad crossing. The railroad crossing is located near Polecat Lane in Caroline County.

Penola Road is expected to remain closed for several hours. Drivers are urged to seek the most convenient alternate route around the closure.


Penola Road connects Route 301 and Route 207.
