CSX WILL REPAIR RAIL CROSSING ON RT. 603 (CAISSON ROAD) IN STAFFORD COUNTY
Through traffic on Caisson Rd. will be detoured from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25 to allow CSX Corp. to repair a railroad crossing

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – CSX will close Route 603 (Caisson Road) in Stafford County to through traffic on Wednesday, March 25 while CSX crews perform maintenance work to upgrade the railroad crossing.

Caisson Road will close at the railroad crossing in both directions beginning at 8 a.m. Wednesday and will remain closed until approximately 5 p.m.

Signs will be posted to guide motorists along the recommended detour:

  • Route 3
  • Route 601 (Hollywood Farm Road)

Caisson Road carries an average of 440 vehicles a day, according to a Virginia Department of Transportation traffic count.
