ROUTE 620 (DUNBROOKE ROAD) IN ESSEX COUNTY IS NOW OPEN TO TRAFFIC
Repairs to the road shoulders and drainage structures damaged during Tropical Storm Michael have been completed
FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) crews have completed repairs on Route 620 (Dunbrooke Road) caused Tropical Storm Michael in October 2018.
The 10-mile detour has been lifted and Dunbrooke Road is now open to all traffic.
VDOT crews repaired road shoulders and drainage structures including the replacement of a damaged culvert with a 36-inch pipe, head walls and shoulder restoration.
Approximately 560 vehicles a day use this section of Dunbrooke Road according to a recent VDOT traffic count.
