REMINDER: COURTHOUSE ROAD PARK & RIDE LOT ACCESS CHANGED TODAY IN STAFFORD
Commuters will use the Wyche Road intersection to access a new side entrance and exit to the Park & Ride lot; Temporary signal shifted to Wyche Rd. and Courthouse Rd.

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Access to the Route 630 (Courthouse Road) Park & Ride commuter lot in Stafford County changed today, Oct. 17, as a new side entrance and exit to the lot opens from Wyche Road.

Following the morning rush hour travel period, crews opened Florida Rock Drive along Wyche Road.

Florida Rock Drive will serve as the only entrance and exit to the Park & Ride lot until construction is complete in July 2020. Construction is underway to build a larger lot with additional parking and new amenities as part of the Interstate 95 Exit 140 interchange reconstruction project.

View an online map of the upcoming access change at the Park & Ride lot.

As the new lot entrance opens at Florida Rock Drive, a temporary traffic signal was placed in full color operation at the Courthouse Road and new Wyche Road intersection.

When construction is finished, there will be approximately 1,100 commuter parking spaces available at the Exit 140 interchange in two Park & Ride lots. The larger of the two Park & Ride lots will include a dedicated bus, carpool and vanpool pickup and dropoff area to assist with High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) ridesharing. The finished lots will have multiple entrances, sidewalks, shelters, bicycle racks, and permanent lighting structures.

Park & Ride lots are intended to promote ridesharing and reduce congestion. To find a Park & Ride lot, please  visit the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) interactive ridesharing map , which provides information on more than 300 Park & Ride lots across the state.
