FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) opened a new left turn lane on Route 1 southbound at Route 761 (Potomac Creek Drive) in Stafford County on Tuesday, Nov. 5.

Construction is expected to continue on Route 1 in the vicinity of Potomac Creek Drive for several weeks.
Drivers can expect intermittent single lane closures in the work zone Monday – Thursday, 7 a.m. – 2 p.m. and Friday, 7 a.m. – noon, until the project is complete in Jan. 2020.
