Marvin Ray Wood

Marvin Ray Wood, equipment operator in the Christiansburg Residency, was killed on June 23, 1970 when the tractor-sweeper he was operating on Arterial US 460 was struck from behind by a tractor-trailer.  He was 25. Mr. Wood, who had returned from Vietnam about a year ago, had been employed by the department only two days. He is survived by his parents, a grandmother, two sisters, and a brother.
